I don't lose my radio presets if the battery is disconnected :D

sweet, it also has something I'm all about, and something I'd prefer there be none of

I have wondered if you could hook up a substitute battery with jumper cables while you changed batteries.

But they tried to make the Neon a small car, without all the right junk in all the right places.

As long as you don't unplug the radio, or drain the KAM by touching the battery cables together, it will remember stations for a bit. GG Chrysler.

No, you can see from the icon that it's quite obviously a key cleaner.

It also has an ignition override that prevents ruining the starter by double starting.

I don't have to...

And you can view CEL codes with the odometer.... shit, trying to think of other neat little tricks my Neon had too....

OH! You could almost do 60MPH in 1st gear with the old 3-speed auto.

Yeah, you can keep your presets, but watch out for the CD player. Mine doesn't feel like giving me my CD back. I've just left it in there ignoring it. I need to pull the whole thing out and get my CD back, then put it all back together and just keep using the radio only. Also, for the manual cars, in 3rd gear, it's the perfect distance to hit the #3 preset on the radio, so that's where my two presets are.

But every inch of its perfect from starter to the clutch

Hidden gauge self test, as well as various key dances to do stuff like disable the horn chirp when you lock the car with the remote.

A few years ago I accidentally did that in my grandma's Caravan and I thought I broke it. IIRC I just held the reset button for 10 seconds or so.

Huh. My radio does that too.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 18:14 |

For me you hold the reset button for ten seconds or so and then turn the key to "on"

My CD player works fine.

Aftermarket don't count.
Did your Escorts do it?

Right away with the low blow, man. Not cool.
Besides, I'm done with Escorts. I've turned over a new leaf. I've got Project $300 now.

Such an improvement.

At least it's not a Neon.
![]() 10/30/2014 at 18:24 |

At least my Neon isn't three Escorts.

God bless your soul for suffering with that 3 speed. It's like they were trying to find a way to make the Neon not fun.
And I'm surprised to see the tach paired with the auto. I know it was part of the security package though, or at least that's how I got the tach in mine.

Here's another feature that sounds simple and stupid, but I oh so miss it. You can press the time button and get the time to display for a moment, even if the car is off with the key removed.
